Camogie Champions!… The Presentation camogie team, which is made up of 5th and 6th Class girls, had a fantastic victory in the Eastern Final today. This is the first time the Presentation has made the final in 12 years, so it’s very exciting for the school. Huge congratulations to everyone on the team and all who help train the girls too. We are so so proud of you. Pres Abú!
Report from the Eastern Semi-Final…
It was a wet and miserable day, but this didn’t stop the Pres girls from putting in an incredible performance!
They came up against a strong and physical team from Glór na Mara but the girls fought for every ball and played with fierce determination. They won on a final score of 6-4 to 1-0. It was a great team effort and all 16 girls played a part on the day, while also having great fun!
The girls will continue to train hard over the next two weeks and prepare for the final, which will take place in Walsh Park on the 24th of May. Well done girls, we are very proud of you all.

World Book Day 2022

World Book Day was a great success on Thursday 3rd March. Pupils celebrated the day by dressing up as a character from their favourite book. They also enjoyed a ‘Story Walk’ around the School garden. The focus text for the walk was The Vanishing Lake by Paddy Donnelly. Thank you to Miss Lyons for organising a great day for everyone.

Camogie News

The Presentation Camogie team had their first match of the league yesterday, students from 5th and 6th Class came together to represent the school.
The girls put on an excellent display of camogie against the Ursuline. The Ursuline were victorious on the day by just two points! We are super proud of our team and cannot wait to follow their journey over the next couple of months.
Well done to all involved, we look forward to welcoming Ballygunner NS next week to the Pres!

Halloween Fun

Halloween was in the air at school on Friday 22nd October. Lots of witches, ghosts, pumpkins, fairies, clowns and princesses were seen roaming around the corridors and garden. Halloween games took place throughout the day and the highlight was a Halloween Scavenger Hunt which was created by Mrs. McAra’s Sixth Class. A big thank you to everyone who took part in our Halloween Dress-Up Day. Happy Halloween…….

Maths Week 2021

Miss Duke’s 6th Class were super busy during Maths week, we really enjoyed it! Our theme for the week was ‘bringing Maths to life’.

We loved taking part in our jigsaw relays – they challenged us on multiplication tables. So much fun!

We got to help Miss Duke with her Christmas shopping – she gave us a description of a child, their likes and dislikes, a Smyths catalogue and a budget. We had so much fun preparing a gift guide for each child. We even made sure she had change!

We love Maths trails and challenges, we decided to create our own ‘Solve me’ puzzles which had an ’emoji’ equation inside. We have placed them around the school and encouraged students to get involved!

Mrs McCarthy’s girls from Second Class had great fun playing Maths games and engaging in hands on Maths work for Maths Week 2021.

Mrs McAra’s girls enjoyed lots fun Maths challenges. They made a shopping list for a child’s birthday on a budget while making sure to buy items that fit their interests. Great fun for all.
