Christmas Cheer!
There was a great air of anticipation at school during December. We spotted lots of Christmas crafts and surprises around the school grounds each day. A big thank you to Ms. Stones and Ger for organizing the displays
Mrs McAra’s Sixth Class we’re busy spreading Christmas cheer throughout the school by painting some festive designs on some of the windows. It was a fun filled festive activity for everyone.
Everyone was very excited about the giant Advent Calendar. All classes enjoyed opening one of the doors to see what was inside!!
Mrs O’Mara led a beautiful Christmas prayer service on the day of the holidays. The service was made extra special with beautiful music from Ms. Tobin and Ms. Butler. Thank you to the readers and choir too.

Presentation Day 2021
All pupils and staff celebrated Presentation Day this year through Zoom. Mrs O’Mara led a special prayer service with some lovely singing from the choir to mark the occasion. Thank you to Ms. Tobin who came back to help us today. Over the last few weeks, we learned about Nano Nagle and how she went ‘one step beyond’. Our question is…. how can we go ‘one step beyond’?
Listen to our beautiful choir sing ‘One Step Beyond’…
Halloween Fun
Halloween was in the air at school on Friday 22nd October. Lots of witches, ghosts, pumpkins, fairies, clowns and princesses were seen roaming around the corridors and garden. Halloween games took place throughout the day and the highlight was a Halloween Scavenger Hunt which was created by Mrs. McAra’s Sixth Class. A big thank you to everyone who took part in our Halloween Dress-Up Day. Happy Halloween…….
Maths Week 2021
Miss Duke’s 6th Class were super busy during Maths week, we really enjoyed it! Our theme for the week was ‘bringing Maths to life’.
We loved taking part in our jigsaw relays – they challenged us on multiplication tables. So much fun!
We got to help Miss Duke with her Christmas shopping – she gave us a description of a child, their likes and dislikes, a Smyths catalogue and a budget. We had so much fun preparing a gift guide for each child. We even made sure she had change!
We love Maths trails and challenges, we decided to create our own ‘Solve me’ puzzles which had an ’emoji’ equation inside. We have placed them around the school and encouraged students to get involved!
Mrs McCarthy’s girls from Second Class had great fun playing Maths games and engaging in hands on Maths work for Maths Week 2021.
Mrs McAra’s girls enjoyed lots fun Maths challenges. They made a shopping list for a child’s birthday on a budget while making sure to buy items that fit their interests. Great fun for all.
