In February we learned about animals. We played with farm animals, sea creatures and zoo animals. We sorted the creatures according to where they live. We made animal collages and masks. Chloe won the Shine a Light certificate for being a good friend. Julia won a prize in the Green Schools colouring competition. We completed our gymnastics lessons and we’re looking forward to zumba next in March.
January…
In January we learned about occupations and people who help us. We sang ‘Postman Pat’ and made crazy hair art. We talked about what we would like to be when we grow up. Julia won a prize for being a good friend.

In December we learned all about winter and Christmas. We made snowmen with white puffy paint and we made Christmas cards. We visited the library and we sang Christmas carols. We made and decorated gingerbread biscuits. We enjoyed singing our Christmas songs for everyone to hear. Click here to watch our performance.

In November we learned about food. We sorted healthy and unhealthy foods. We learned the names of fruit and vegetables. We read stories like ‘Handa’s Surprise and ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’. We made our own supermarket and coffee shop.
October…
In October we learned about autumn and Halloween. We read stories like ‘Pumpkin Soup’ and ‘Room on a Broom’. We wore our favourite clothes for Well Being day. We did some reading with out 3rd class buddies. We visited the library on Browns Road for a Halloween craft and story. We also had a Halloween party and made some decorations for our classroom.
September…
In September we learned about school, our new friends and our families. We read stories like ‘First Day at Cow School’ and ‘Elmer’. We painted self portraits and played with the kitchen. We washed the babies and dressed them. We went for a walk around the school and learned about everyone who works here.
